Wow, I can't believe I haven't blogged since August, things have been so hectic with pet sits and dog walks and cat visits, this is the first week in ages I have spent at home (to be honest I am looking forward to the start of my next job on Monday as I am a little bored)! I have spent so much time living in other peoples houses, being entertained by other peoples cats and dogs and bunnies and chickens and guinea pigs (etc!) that now when I go home I lack a proper distraction.
So what have I been up to since August, well I will try to keep it brief!!.........................
I've walked these guys...
I've gone to live with these guys......
And lots lots more!!! I will update with more stories soon hopefully, I have had such a fantastic summer so thank you to all those cats and dogs and guinea pigs and chickens and rabbits for letting me share my time with you this summer!

Snoopy – Cocker Spaniel
This naughty boy eats walls and furniture. He is a repeat offender, constantly removing items from the kitchen and hiding them outside (usually shoes or his bedding). Snoopy is the ringleader of the pack, encouraging the other dogs (and humans) to chase him with his contraband. Snoopy will dip his ears in the water bowl just so they drip all over the floor, making it slippery for humans. If seen do not approach with a lead as this will encourage Snoopy to completely ignore you and run in the opposite direction!

Rocket – Black Labrador
This dog has been seen running across the dunes after other dogs, hence the name off like a rocket! He is notorious for walking on the back of flip flops and walking into the legs of humans in the hope of tripping them up. If you see this dog, for heavens sake, hide your sandwiches! Rocket is partial to a nice tickle on the chin and will respond to name calling and treats!

Lily – Cross between poodle and springer
This lively and intelligent dog is a serial rabbit killer who has outwitted owners and carers on many occasions by jumping the fence to give chase to little cute bunnies. She has been known to leave unwanted and unfavourable deposits on the kitchen floor (not the sort of deposits you would go to a bank for). If you see this dog, do not approach for fear she will lick you to death. A ball or biscuit is unlikely to tempt her once she has a bunny in her sights.

Tegen and George, July 2012
It has been a very busy month, constant pet sits and lots of walkies. Pics below are of Tegen, a leonberger, fantastic gentle giant, big and cuddly and soft as cottom wool. I loved walking Tegen while her owners were away on holiday. The labradoodle is George who has sadly just moved to Bristol. I will miss walking both of them very much!

Henry’s Diary July 2012
Monday
Where is that human, I have been here on my own for hours
and I’m dying for my tea and a walk. My
owners have gone away, I know because they were being extra nice to me before
they left with big bags full of clothes.
The only bonus is, I can see a bottle of wine on the kitchen counter and
that means I get to sleep on the sofa tonight. Woof woof. Here she is, hurry up, I want to jump all
over you and make you drop your shopping in the drive, before I go outside and
do a wee while I walk so it goes all over my legs! That’ll teach you for leaving me on my own.
Hooray, the human has unpacked and has just picked up my
food bowl, yummy yummy crunchie biscuits for tea tonight – and I get to eat one
of those yummy plastic things with goo in the middle! And yes, result!! She has just picked up my
lead, she could do with a few more walks herself, if only I could talk.
I had a cracking walk tonight, we went out for ages down the
lane to St Enoder and over the stream and back up past the farm with the cows
and the nasty dogs. One of them bit me
on the ass, but human shouted at the other dog and made it go away. Luckily it was only a warning nip, so I was
ok, though I might be a bit scared if we come back this way again. OOOOh, a stick, woof woof woof woof
woof. Stick. Woof.
Stick. Woof. I did a pooh, but rather than do one nice
little neat pile I decided to move around in circles and leave five – she must
of thought that was cool cos she called me a good boy. I think I might do that again tomorrow. Wasn’t so keen on the cold hose down I got
when we got home, but if I will wee on myself…….
Mmmmm now human is eating.
I want some. She just told me to
go away. She’s always eating. She eats more than me and she doesn’t run
around anywhere near as much. Oh, now
she has gone for a bath, whine whine, I don’t want to be on my own. Ooooo, nice comfy bed, tired, bed time. I
can’t get on the darned sofa though, that furniture is in the way.

Tuesday
Wakey wakey, the birds are up and it is 5am, come on human,
it’s light outside and I want my walk and breakfast, not necessarily in that
order! Woo hoo, yay, I managed to wee on
myself again, I’m getting so good at that.
More hosing down, but I don’t mind cos I like all the cuddles I get when
human towels me dry.
Tonight we walked past the naughty nasty dogs and the cows
being milked, but luckily the dogs didn’t spot me so it was ok. Those cows smell so nice and I ate some horse
pooh before human spotted me and told me off.
If she says ‘heal’ once more, I swear I will bite her foot off. I think I am going to pull on my lead some
more, then she might let me off for a run!
Gosh I’m tired, worn out from all that chasing around and my
two big walkies. Human stinks of that
girt lush stuff from the bathroom, it smells like flowers and herbs and is
disgusting, not like cow pats at all. I
miss my normal humans, they smell much better!
Wednesday
Bit like Groundhog Day, see yesterday!!
Thursday
Human didn’t get up for work this morning so I went in to
her bedroom and jumped on her bed and licked her in the face until she got up
and made me breakfast. We went on a mega
walk this morning, the only thing that spoilt it was that human kept stopping
and chatting up farmers. First it was Mr
Beef Farmer from down the first lane. I
got my own back by tearing around on the Farmers grass and ripping it out all
over while I played with my stick. Then
she actually stopped to talk to the Farmer milk cow man with the scary dogs
that bark at me and go for my bottom.
Luckily with both humans around they didn’t dare come anywhere near me
and I sensed from the Farmers tone that he was very sorry his dogs were so
naughty. He even commented on how well
behaved I was, I liked him a lot.
Luckily on the afternoon walk we didn’t see the scary dogs –
I think human might have been a bit disappointed at not seeing Mr Milk Cow
Farmer, but I was glad cos those dogs are mean.
Human made a quiche and some jam tarts with the left over
pastry but she didn’t give me any. Most
disappointing.
Friday
More muddy puddles, woo hoo.
We did a different route today which made a nice change – and there were
no farmers so at least human didn’t give her attention to somebody else rather
than to me. Human keeps tugging on my
lead and saying heal, so every time she does that I speed up a bit and pull on
the lead back. I think that is what she
wants me to do.
Saturday
OMG! Can this week get any better?! Human has given me a chewy bone for being
such a good boy. I think she has had a
tough day of it – something to do with thinking she could turn around in somebodies garden and getting stuck
in the mud, oops, I think the AA were involved too. Whatever happened, I know she kept me waiting
for my evening walk. And she was very
muddy when she came back to the house!
Sunday
Whine whine whine whine whine whine, come on, get up, I
don’t care what day of the week it is, I want my breakfast and I want my
walk. I’ve never known a human to spend
so long in the bath either. I did a pooh
in seven different pieces today, my all time best for the week so far. And I did it right outside somebodies house
while the owners were looking out of their window, cos I know how much humans
like me to pooh outside. It was even
better than when I weed yesterday and managed to wee on every single leg. What a shot!!! I had the human with me all day today so I had
the best day ever, though I didn’t like it much when she turned the hoover on
(thankfully that doesn’t happen very often).
Monday
Yippee, human is carrying bags out to the car, including her
towels and wash stuff and toothbrush, that can only mean one thing – my very
own humans are coming home. Definitely
and absolutely the best day of the week so far!!! But I do like it when the other human comes
to stay too x
